Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh is a Ghanaian business leader and the Regional General Manager for IBM Africa in charge of North, East and West Africa where she pioneers some of the largest business deals in the region, – the first African woman to ever hold this mantle. She graduated from Harvard Business School in Leadership Development, and she holds an MSc in International Business and a BA in Marketing & French.

Angela has over 17 years of experience in Marketing and Sales. Her career was originally in banking before she transitioned into technology. She is the mother of two lovely boys, and whilst juggling the role of motherhood and that of her career, when she first moved back to Ghana she initially started at UBA Bank Ghana as head of Prestige Banking and later joined GT Bank as Head of Consumer Banking, after which she transitioned into technology.

As a woman in STEM, she has been able to overcome many challenges common to women in male-driven work environments ever so elegantly.

She was presented with a certificate of honour for being ranked among the Top 50 Corporate Women Leaders in Ghana in 2016, and she was also noted as one of Africa’s 100 top influential women by Avance Media. Other awards she has received also include the US African Women Forum’s Global Impact Leadership Award and the prestigious African Achievers Awards for Excellence in Business.
