Born in 2001, Ashley is already making headlines as a Ghanaian-American college women’s basketball player. She plays for the Maryland Terrapins of The Big Ten Conference, the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference in the USA. She plays as a shooting guard. Ashley is currently a University of Maryland student majoring in Letters and Sciences. She aspires to be an engineer and play in the WNBA. 

Before playing for the Maryland Terrapins, Ashley was named the Gatorade Player of The Year for the state of Virginia and was also featured on the ESPN Player Of The Year watchlist.

As a player for the Maryland Terrapins, aside from leading her team to numerous victories alongside others who’ve done the same, Ashley has also been recognised for her way of play and awarded several awards inclusive of The Ann Meyers Drysdale Award for the nation’s top shooting guard and All-Big Ten First Team honours, as well as All-America honours from the AP, USBWA and All-Region honours from the WBCA. She was also named Co-MVP of the Big Ten Tournament 2021.
